Terms of Service

Effective April 29, 2026 · Caredenza, Inc.

These terms govern your use of the Caredenza iOS app, the caredenza.com website, and any related services we operate (together, "Caredenza"). By using Caredenza, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Caredenza.

Two things first. Caredenza is software that helps you organize medications and care information — it is not medical advice and is not a substitute for the judgment of a clinician. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

1. Who we are

Caredenza, Inc. is a Delaware corporation with its principal office at 25 Rolfes Lane, Newbury, MA. References to "Caredenza," "we," "us," and "our" mean Caredenza, Inc. You can reach us at info@caredenza.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a contract, and located in the United States to use Caredenza. If you are using Caredenza on behalf of another adult (for example, a parent), you represent that you have the authority to do so.

3. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials, for keeping the email address on your account current, and for everything that happens under your account. If you think your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

4. Caredenza is not medical advice

This is the most important section.

Caredenza helps you keep track of medications, doses, appointments, and care-team contacts. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. The AI medication-explainer feature provides general educational information that is not a substitute for the judgment of your prescribing clinician or pharmacist. Reminders are best-effort; you should not rely on the app alone to deliver every dose on time.

Always confirm any medication change with your prescribing clinician. If something in the app conflicts with what your clinician told you, trust your clinician and let us know so we can investigate.

5. Emergencies

Caredenza is not designed for emergencies and cannot summon help. If you or someone you are caring for is having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

6. Caregiver invites

You can invite caregivers to view a read-only summary of your dose history and upcoming medications. You are responsible for who you invite and for revoking access if circumstances change. Once you revoke access, the caregiver's link will stop working within a reasonable time.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Caredenza to:

  • Break any law or harm any person
  • Impersonate another person, or enter information about a person without their permission (except where you are legally authorized, e.g., a healthcare proxy or guardian)
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to access information that is not yours
  • Disrupt the service, probe for vulnerabilities outside our coordinated-disclosure process, or interfere with other users
  • Build a competing product using information you obtain from Caredenza

8. Your content

The information you put into Caredenza — photographs of paperwork, medication lists, dose history, contacts, notes — belongs to you. You give us the limited license we need to operate the service for you, including extracting structured information from your photographs and generating educational explanations on request.

9. Our content

The Caredenza name, logo, software, and design are owned by Caredenza, Inc. We don't grant you any rights to them other than the right to use Caredenza as intended.

10. Pricing and changes

Caredenza is currently in private beta and free to use. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and you will have the opportunity to keep using free features or to subscribe.

11. Termination

You can stop using Caredenza at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or if continuing the service would expose us or other users to material risk. We will give you reasonable notice when we can.

12. Warranty disclaimer

Caredenza is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate at all times.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caredenza, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars or (b) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages — in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Caredenza, Inc. harmless from any claims arising out of (a) your use of the service in violation of these terms, (b) information you submit that infringes someone else's rights, or (c) your violation of any law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to Caredenza will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Caredenza consent to that jurisdiction. If a dispute is not subject to mandatory court resolution, the parties will attempt good-faith negotiation before litigation.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Caredenza after the change means you accept the updated terms.
